Feed Additives come and go like the seasons, but one that never left our barn growing up was ShowBloom. When it became difficult to find on the west coast, we tried various different additives to get cattle to eat and stay on feed, but none of them worked the same, so you could imagine my excitement when I heard that ShowBloom was back. To validate what I thought I knew about ShowBloom, we decided to run a trial of our own. About half of the sale cattle received ShowBloom as a top dress, and half didn’t. The results and differences in performance were evident within a week. The calves receiving ShowBloom displayed aggressive appetites at the bunk, ate quickly and consistently. In addition, the ShowBloom cattle came on faster, looked fresher, and we saw a huge improvement on skin and hair quality. When you have a quality product at your disposal, backed by research, that generates real results in the field, it becomes an obvious choice to incorporate not only into our program, but into the feeding strategies of our customers.
