Changing Seasons. Changing Nutritional Needs.

“In like a lion, out like a lamb”—the common adage for the month of March. This March, however, seemed to come in like a lion AND a lamb and is now providing some interesting twists and turns in the middle. It’s unusually hot and dry in the south, the east coast is experiencing their second winter, and the Midwest wakes up to a completely new climate every single day.   We are all dressing in layers and not sure what Mother Nature is going to bring our way the next day. So, what does that mean for our livestock?   …

Some stock are nearing their final show of their careers, last year’s breds are calving/farrowing/lambing/kidding for the first time and showmen are getting a jump start on new year’s project.   Facebook is filled with winter winners photos, new life entering the world and beautiful landscapes that can only be painted by the unpredictable winter weather across the country. As with each new year or new animal there comes a new excitement, new goals and most importantly, new …

The scoop on VFD

As the January 1, 2017 deadline for the implementation of the Veterinary Feed Directive (VFD) nears, veterinarians, producers and feed mills begin the transition to new compliance rules. Good news for ShowBloom customers, the all-natural supplement can still be fed to all species with no additional documentation needed.   In short, VFD will help regulate that all medications in feed and those that are water-soluble will require producers and feeder to have a signed form by a veterinarian familiar with their operation. Producers will work with their veterinarian to complete the form which includes: the producer’s name and address, the …

ShowBloom NEW pellet length

To All ShowBloom Users, In response to an overwhelming number of requests, we have decided to shorten the length of the ShowBloom pellet (the diameter will remain the same). This will allow for easier mixing and less separation in feeds, and more importantly, greater ease of feeding and consumption by smaller livestock species such as swine, sheep and goats. Rest assured that neither the formulation nor quality of our product has changed. We believe, as many of our customers do, that this simple change will have a positive impact on ShowBloom usage and sales to all species, as well as …

School is right around the corner, which can only mean one thing…so are scholarship deadlines!
